I like books and you should like books too. If you like science fiction and fantasy books check out Baens free library or the Fifth Imperium. Baen offers many free e-books online. The Fifth Imperium offers Baens books that have been released on promo cds for free as well. If you are worried about copyright laws, fear not. I actually had a conversation with Baen several years ago about this site. They said it was cool.

Baen free library
www.baen.com/library/

The Fifth Imperium
baencd.thefifthimperium.com/

On a final note on one of Baen's free cds is an wonder march, called March of the Cambreadth.
baencd.thefifthimperium.com/08-GhostCD/GhostCD/March%20of%20Cambreadth/March_of_Cambreadth.mp3

Axes flash, broadsword swing,
Shining armour's piercing ring
Horses run with polished shield,
Fight Those Bastards till They Yield
Midnight mare and blood red roan,
Fight to Keep this Land Your Own
Sound the horn and call the cry,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Follow orders as you're told,
Make Their Yellow Blood Run Cold
Fight until you die or drop,
A Force Like Ours is Hard to Stop
Close your mind to stress and pain,
Fight till You're No Longer Sane
Let not one damn cur pass by,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Guard your women and children well,
Send These Bastards Back to Hell
We'll teach them the ways of war,
They Won't Come Here Any More
Use your shield and use your head,
Fight till Every One is Dead
Raise the flag up to the sky,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

Dawn has broke, the time has come,
Move Your Feet to a Marching Drum
We'll win the war and pay the toll,
We'll Fight as One in Heart and Soul
Midnight mare and blood red roan,
Fight to Keep this Land Your Own
Sound the horn and call the cry,
How Many of Them Can We Make Die!

(repeat first verse)

Rock the Cazbah

I have to say I have two wonderful roommates. They took me to my most favorite, favorite, favorite restaurant in the whole wide state of South Carolina. They took me to the Cazbah in downtown Greenville. This place has the mostest awesomest food that I have ever eaten. They are a tapas bar. Every time I eat there I have a tongasm, yes a tongasm. When I bite in to their food all these little explosions of flavor explode all over my tongue.

Good food must always be shared, never eaten alone.

www.thecazbah.com/home.htm

Sharif I like it, rock the Cazbah, rock the Cazbah.

Jesus Christ Babe

So on my way in to work this morning, Kimberli gave us a wonderful monologue. It went something like this. This is paraphrased.

Kris: Jesus Christ babe aren't you ready yet?

Kendell: But daddy.

Kris: Do you really want to go to Charleston today?

Kendell: But daddy I want to go to Charleston.

Kris: Come on babe you don't need a four hour shower.

Kendell: Daddy!

Kris: I did the laundry last night at least you could be packing.

Kendell: But daddy I don't have any clothes.

Kris: I'm going to watch TV while you get ready.

Addendum

I also seem to recall a comment by someone today that in my above monologue Kendell didn't squeel enough.

Truth

No link posts today. Just a philosophical debate.

What is truth? Why do people have problems with the truth? Why do some people not want to hear the truth? For some people the truth is outside of their realm of understanding. We all have a way that we see reality and for some people the truth is outside their reality. Is it that people believe that their truths are right.

This came up today when a customer of mine could not handle the logical truth. She became upset. Instead of placating her and lying to her I told her the truth. However, as much as she does not know my truths I do not know her truths.

Truth is based upon ones perception. I perceive that a blade of grass is green. However, if I was color blind I might perceive the same blade of grass as a different color.

Here is an interesting article. However, I don't see that I will benefit much from this since I do not watch TV. Congress wants to tone down tv advertisers by requiring them to volume match the television programing they are programmed next to.

I really dislike Billy Mays, his voice annoys me so much.

gizmodo.com/5288765/congress-pushing-for-bill-to-reduce-the-volume-of-tv-advertising

Vector Graphic whaaaa

I forgot how much fun vector graphics can be. A vector graphic is a type of graphics file that stores the image as a collection of geometric shapes. These files are usually able to be enlarged without too much pixelation or none at all. However, the graphic has to be saved in vector format and opened with a program that can view vector graphics. Why is this great? You can take an image and make it bigger and it wont distort, usually.

vectormagic.com/

To visit Taliesen

www.taliesinpreservation.org/

Original image of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesen

Vectorized .PNG graphic of the same picture

I will introduce you to Clara, who has an online vblog on depression cooking.

greatdepressioncooking.com/Depression_Cooking/Welcome.html

Spats

I love spats. I love the way they look. Reminds me of my days of when I was in the Air Force. I think these have a classy look. I have always wanted a pair.

spatterdash.myshopify.com/

Happy Birthday Shout Out

I'm not one to put words down on paper or text. However, there is a special person I wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to, my best friend. You know who you are so names aren't necessary. You are my best friend in all ways, sir. You keep me sane and insane when necessary.

A Chinese proverb once said "A man should choose a friend who is better than himself. There are plenty of acquaintances in the world; but very few real friends."

Thank you for being my friend.

Happy 40th Birthday.

A Cat in the Kitchen

Is it a cooking site or is it a site about cats. It's both. What could be better than great food and pussy in the kitchen.

www.acatinthekitchen.com/index.php

Rasterbate

I found that rasterbator is a great site for enlarging a photo or picture. I've considered several uses for this, shower curtains, full sized wall art, and room dividers.

Oh you have such a dirty mind. Go home and rasterbate now!

homokaasu.org/rasterbator/
As I was watching the cinematic video of the upcoming Beatles Rockband game, and I remembered how trippy the Beatles were.

So in hopes that you have a trippy day, here is a link to the Beatles cinematic.

www.thebeatlesrockband.com/cinematic.php
